I love August.

My favorite time of the year is Fall but late summer is a close second. I love the month of August and it's kind of ironic how that is also the same month as my birthday! (August 28th to be exact).

I'm excited for my birthday because i will be another year older (21) and I always look forward to that. I think I especially Like the fact of getting older because I am the second youngest employee in Cosmetics by like 4 years and for sure the youngest of all of the Counter Managers in Macy's. So it will be nice to say that I am 21 next weekend!

Speaking of Birthdays...I am so excited because I already have a big part of Nathan's birthday "present" out of the way. We've wanted to go to a concert for the longest time and so earlier this year I began looking at upcoming concerts. I really wanted one near his birthday and finally in June Jason Mraz had his concerts dates up. It was so awesome because one of his concerts is the weekend after his birthday in November so I had been waiting patiently all summer long for the tickets to go on sale and they finally did yesterday! I was so excited i couldn't contain myselft!

If anyone knows me well, they know that I CAN NOT keep my surprises from people. It's almost impossible. So of course I told Nathan the same night i got the tickets ha ha! So that is something we are totally loking forward to this winter. We both love Jason Mraz and his music is amazing. So the countdown begins until November 10th!

Well, tomorrow is the start of "back to school" sales so I need my rest to prepare for the "doorbusters". You know what's funny? I always thought "door busters" was just a cool catchy way of letting you know that the sale is so good people are just "busting down the doors" to get to the sales metaphorically speaking. Well, guess what. They aren't metaphorically speaking. There really are tons of people lined up at the door before they open to get to "THE SALE" with coupons in their hands. They get pretty crazy. Who would have that shopping was such a competitive sport?

here is a real example below:

I always picture those ladies in front of the toy stores before Christmas to get that one toy every kid "needs". It's crazy because it's not just in the movies. It is a total complete reality. Oh how i can't wait until Christmas time at the Mall... (note the sarcasm)

I've always wanted to go to the day after Thanksgiving sale or after Christmas, just for the "experience" And maybe some really good deals. But I never do because I value my sleep more than saving a bit of money.
